Patrick and Evan's Birthday!

Today is Patrick's 27th Birthday, and Evan's 4 month birthday. Aren't my boys so cute?! :)
Evan had a doc appointment yesterday. He weighs 17 lbs 9 oz and is 25.5 in tall.
To celebrate their big day we went to dinner at Red Lobster, and spent the night at my Dad's.

Swim Day

This is Evan getting ready for his first swim in a big pool. ( I don't know why some of my pictures upload sideways. If anyone knows how to fix that, please let me know. )
It doesn't look it, but Evan really loved the pool. He was kicking and splashing all over the place. He didn't like the sun in his eyes, as you can tell. :)
This is his "after swim" GQ shot.
After Evan was safely out of the pool, Dad turned into a bit of a bully. This is one of the many times he dunked his sister, Emily.

That's okay, he got it back. Papa to the rescue! LOL!

4th of July in Park City

We stayed in Park City with Patrick's family for the Fourth of July weekend. We had so much fun! Everyone said Evan looked like a little cadet in his outfit. :)
We found a great spot to watch the fireworks. Yes, that is dirt you can see us sitting in. But hey, the fireworks were right over our heads. It was awesome! Thank goodness Nana brought a tarp. :)

We bought a HOUSE!

We put an offer on a house, and we found out today that it was accepted! I wish I would have taken more pictures, but this is the deck and the kitchen. I will post more pictures next time we go up.

Tree gazing

After a fun weekend of hanging out with Brooke, Evan and I relaxed at the park and gazed at the trees. It's so cute how he loves staring at trees! These are the moments when I absolutley LOVE being a mom! :)

Evan loves stuffed animals

About a month ago Evan started sleeping with his teddy bear. Now we never leave the house without a stuffed animal or two. He just loves to hold onto them and hug them. It's so cute!
These are the jungle animals that his Grandpa gave to him. I keep one in the diaper bag at all times, for cuddling emergencies. :)

This is Evan's bear. Patrick named him "Rupert" from the Family Guy. I don't agree with the origin of the name (I hate that show), but the name stuck. Now we are always saying "grab Rupert" before we go anywhere.

Evan's Blessing

Evan was blessed on June 1st. I am so grateful for my little boy and all the many blessings he has brought to our lives! We celebrated the special event by having everyone up for burgers at Patrick's grandparents. It was a great turnout. I am so glad a lot of our family could make it!
Oh my goodness, I spy a family. One minute I am thinking I will be single forever, the next thing I know, I have the husband and family I always dreamed of. Life couldn't be sweeter. :)
These are Evan's little cousing's, Owen and Max. I am so glad he has cousins his age to play with. They are already so cute together. :)
And here are Evan's girl cousins as well. Rosie (left) and Lizzy (right). They are such sweet girls, and they adore my little Evan.

This is my mom. I thought this was a great shot of her and her first grandson.

Daddy got a new job!!!

Patrick got a new job as a manager! We are so excited. Today was his first day in training. I had to get a picture of my cute husband dressed up in his new digs. :)

Getting Ready for a day at the Zoo

Patrick had a few days off, so we decided to go to the zoo.
Evan looked so cute, I couldn't help taking some pictures.
He got a little antzy after a while.
And then he started really getting into it. Ah soooo cute!
He wasn't real pleased with the hat tho. :) "I look like a fisherman, mom!"

Our rainy Zoo day lead us to Discovery Gateway

It turned out to be a cold rainy day, so we went to Discovery Gateway with all of Evan's cousins. This is my sister in-law, Sarah and two of her adorable kids, Max and Rosie.
There wasn't much for me and Evan to do at Discovery Gateway, but watching all the kids play so hard wore us out. Dad snuck a picture of us crashed on the couch.
